All my work is created in my home studio using either stoneware or earthenware clay. It will then go through a first firing to partially solidify the piece then I will apply my specially mixed glazes and fire again in an oxidation atmosphere

My introduction to clay was at the local Community College and I was 'at home' with this art mediium which is probably due to my roots in the deep southern red clay land in Alabama. 

My inspiration for my colors and hues  is from the waters edges of Oceans and Bays reflecting on the blues, greens, and tans from the East coast of the Gulf of Mexico, Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Of course I occasionally venture off in other degrees of colors and textures.
